This is one of those regretfully written reviews to share the sad news of changed quality in the product when I received the set of black socks...I had previously only ordered and worn the other two available sets of these comfoex socks in bright colors, as the black set has been out of stock for several months. The bright heathery colors of pink, purple, red, orange, blue and green were all manufactured with a thick, soft cottony feeling fiber with superbly sturdy and stable construction. They have plenty of grippy dots on the sole that don’t cause that dreaded walking on marbles feeling! The bright colored socks also wash well. As an aside - I always wash everything clothing centric in cold water with powdered free and clear detergent, adding borax to every load, no fabric softener added as any type of washing or softening liquids seem to always foul up many of the the front loading washers (like my LG that I have had for over ten years)!! I air dry all types of clothing (okay.. wait.. honesty here!!! All clothes are successfully 100% air dried with one exception! about a five minute spin in heat low as possible dryer also by LG.. for ONLY cotton blue jeans to take out that denim stiffness!). That said, with the cold water wash and air dry method, the colorful socks have also retained their grippy dots ability to perform that blessed safety addition for anyone walking on bare flooring in the world - and do so perfectly well. They have kept their shape and size including the width and length. The colors are all still bright, no bleeding. No unraveling.Completely pleased with their perfection, I even ordered a third set. Never had any issues wearing them at all, no uncomfortable reactions such as that horrible burning or itching feeling that polyester and acrylic fibers cause for my particularly sensitive system. I’ve read several other folks’ reviews mentioning the same sensitivity issues in regard to other brands of socks, so I’m certainly not alone in this curious affliction!But now?What a disappointment!When the black set of these footie socks were in stock again, I ordered them. Mistake. Who knew? Like numerous products in our world reality of product quality standards that seem to be constantly falling (and sadly failing) - well, add these to that long list.The black socks I just received (November 2021) are no longer constructed with the delightful seasonally required warm and comfy feeling of those other sets ordered during previous months during 2021. These have apparently been manufactured with what feels like an inferior, possibly cheaper to produce, non-cotton, either entirely or mostly synthetic, definitely unknown to me fibers. Nothing was printed on the bag label about fiber content at all. These have been made with a much stretchier, almost elastic-like, finer, thinner weight yarn, with a much looser knit that makes them practically see through (when barely even stretched), which is probably also not as warm for those of us wanting such lovely qualities in our seasonal socks. Not talking about the other synthetic gripper dot socks for yoga or exercise requirements that plenty of others provide for those who like that sort of thing. Talking about the desire for comfort and warmth, with natural fibers and dependable, reliable quality put into the manufacturing. I didn’t even bother trying these black socks on. I need cotton. Not plastic feeling with possibly inferior fibers.Afraid to order more of these at all, and will treasure and carefully take care of the nine pair I do have!I bought these for my elderly mother for use in assisted living when getting up at night to go to the bathroom. She was falling a lot. So these were her nighttime safety socks. Staff seemed to approve of them for safety value and they seemed to fit well and not shrink too much given that hot dryers and washers are used in those facilities.I wear a size 7 wide shoe and these fit me perfectly, so they might be too small for larger feet. They wash very well and the soles do their job of gripping. I'd buy again.Love these socks. I got them for my SIL after I wore them myself during my labor and delivery. These were great for walking around the hospital and comfier than the socks they give you. The grip is nice and would work well for any special classes where you’d need grippy socks. Love them. Wish I got the other color set as well.These are great little socks. They have a good grip and are comfortable to wear. Perfect to wear to my Pilates class. Happy I bought them.Fit well, don't slip off and keep me from sliding across the hard wood floors. Exactly what I wanted.Good quality of and fitI wear socks almost 24/7 and was looking for some more durable non-slip socks to wear around the house. These are very thick and seem to be of a good quality. They are a little big on me, but I feel that I will really like them during the winter. I think the sizing is a little too big though.
